Intensive Ballet Training
Class Description | Schedule

This program is open to students 7 years of age and up upon assessment.

The Sean Boutilier Academy of Dance offers a highly respected Intensive Training program for gifted dancers. The academy has been very successful in sending many of its students from this program on to such professional training facilities as Juilliard, The Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, L’Ecole Superieure de Danse du Quebec, The National Ballet School, Ryerson University and York University, to name only a few.

These students are participants in the intensive Training program in Ballet which is specifically designed to prepare them for these very prestigious schools or a professional ballet company. They are a select group of students who are chosen by the staff because of good physical attributes, an ability to accept and retain corrections and a keen desire to learn.

This program consists of 9 different levels of ballet. Each year, students in the ballet division are prepared for Cecchetti examinations which are held in the spring and fall with the exception to Junior Division I.

The teachers provide each student in the Intensive Ballet Training with two written evaluations per year. These reports provide students and parents with useful information on each individual’s progress.
